As a member of the Quality and Production Engineering team, the Production Engineering Technician function is to provide support to production operations and continuous improvement activities. In Addition, provide technical support and guidance throughout the welding and brazing production process to ensure the company meets or exceeds Quality and Compliance requirements. To maintain and improve welding machinery, practices, and materials as needed to support business growth and operational excellence.

• Be site weld and braze person responsible in charge per ASME. Responsibilities include PQR, WPS, Welder Logs, Welding coupons and testing
• Support weld equipment Maintenance
• Support Engineering Change Order implementation by conducting operator training as necessary for assigned product line or area
• Promote safety awareness in accordance with company requirements and guidelines; ensure processes are designed for operator safety.
• Support product process control documentation.
• Participate in the effort to develop, document and sustain Standard Work, and develop visual aids.
• Design and develop machine tooling to aid in manufacturing cells.
• Identify and propose alternative methods and materials with regards to safety, quality, manufacturability, cost
• Ensure compliance and integration of regulatory requirements, (UL, ASME, etc.) into product line as defined by management, engineering, sales and marketing.
• Perform quality audits on finished units and work in process.
• Maintain logs and records in accordance with Quality System requirements.
• Process Non-Conforming Product (NCP) Reports
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections on parts and work in process for compliance to ASME & UL requirements
• Participate in Material Review Boards for the disposition of non-conforming products.
• Monitor and perform tasks according to the calibration procedure.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

• Minimum of 5 years Manufacturing experience in Production or Quality Assurance
• 5 years Welding Experience Required
• ASME experience preferred
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing preferred

• WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work in both office and manufacturing environment
• May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting

• Travel Required: Less than 5%
