Job description
We seek a highly skilled Infrastructure Technician at Hefty Seed Company to join our dynamic team. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of infrastructure systems and a passion for technology. You will be integral to planning, architecting, implementing, and administering the entire spectrum of IT technologies that empowers our growing and successful business. Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining network equipment, servers, and virtualization technologies.
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Assuring system availability and scalability.
- Performing routine audits of systems and software.
- Applying OS patches and upgrades regularly and upgrading administrative tools and utilities.
- Ensuring the integrity and security of company data in accordance with business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Working alongside team members to collaborate on large-scale projects.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a similar role.
- Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Experience with network protocols, firewalls, access controls, and security regulations.
- Knowledge of operating systems and platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, etc.)
- Relevant professional certification is a plus.
