Job description
CareerMakers are currently looking for a 'Engineering Technician' for one of our clients in the SK17 Buxton area.
The role includes:
- To lead a small team producing high volume stamped products
- Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, quality and a very strong focus on Health & Safety at all times
- Responsibility for all aspects of the section, tooling, training, organisation, improvements etc.
- Support production in planning and minimising downtime
- Training & Development of setters to improve and standardise
- Manage day to day priorities of proactive and reactive maintenance
Candidates should have:
- Be reliable, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Good leadership skills within a small team
- Highly driven and motivated
- Have excellent problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and non-verbal
- Skilled with engineering practices and ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings
- Willing to further skills with relevant training if required
- Safety and Quality driven
- Be able to work well under pressure, keep a level head and make sound business decisions.
- Will require basic IT skills, Access database skills would be advantageous
Experience & Qualifications
- Strong skillset in engineering with industrial experience
- MUST HAVE A DRIVING LICENSE TO COMMUTE
Shift Pattern:
- Rotating shift pattern
- 06:00 - 14:00 // 14:00 - 22:00
Payrate:
- £28k - £35k
