About the role:

You will join our thriving Engineering teaching team in working towards creating and delivering excellent teaching, learning and assessment on our BTEC Engineering courses at Reading College..

Our Technology Faculty has an excellent record of delivering vocational courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team.

This is a permanent, full time position (37 hours per week).


What do you need to be a successful Engineering teacher at Activate Learning?


The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in delivering Engineering courses, particularly the Electronics and including Microcontrollers and Maths units in BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in Engineering, along with some industry experience. You will be qualified at least up to level 4 BTEC Engineering courses in the relevant subject area and have a passion for: developing the skills, knowledge & behaviour of students; consistently exceeding customer expectations; developing innovative delivery models; and continuously improving the quality of our service.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
