Engineering Operations Manager - Middlesbrough
In this pivotal role you will lead a large multi-disciplined operations team of around 12 direct reports and a wider team of 30+ across 6 operational sites (High Voltage Transmission Substations). The team are responsible and accountable for asset ownership and technical integrity within a geographical area.
You will provide a safe working environment and ensure effective delivery of multi-million pound capital projects, preventative maintenance and fault response activities, at all times meeting stakeholders’ expectations and maintaining the integrity and reliability of the transmission network. The delivery off all work is under pinned by our number one priority safety. In line with regulation and business procedures you will drive the safety behaviours across the team.
Hybrid and flexible working ingrained into our culture, this permanent opportunity offers a mix of site and home working. You’ll travel and work from multiple sites in the Middlesborough/Teeside area, you must live within this region in order to fulfil this role. What you'll need
A minimum HNC qualification in an engineering discipline. We’re looking for you to demonstrate; Safety Leadership with significant operational background leading multi-disciplined teams. Managing costs, performance and commerciality. Strong communication skills. A current full Driving Licence which allows you to drive in the UK is essential.
