Job Title: Engineering Manager - Electrification Compliance
Salary: £77,000 - £82,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location : Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Benefits: 25 days annual leave,
Up to 31% bonus

The team at Peterborough have design control for the Energy product line of batteries, and lead the performance specification, design, development, and validation from concept into production.

The Opportunity
We welcome applicants to come join the Advanced Power Sources group. We are a growing team located within Electrification and Advanced Power Solutions Division with enterprise accountability for electrified power sources including batteries and fuel cells.
This position is an Engineering Manager-1 role focused on providing support for electrified power source product compliance, including developing a team with deep knowledge of world-wide regulatory and certification requirements, the interpretation of those requirements for our applications and markets, and the influence of those regulations in alignment with our values and support for our customers. Scope includes batteries, fuel cells, and both mobile and stationary applications.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Managerial and technical direction to a staff of hourly, salaried, and management personnel including technical specialist(s) engaged in the understanding and interpretation of battery and fuel cell regulations.
Recruit global team of compliance engineers
Define section budget aligned with deliverables
Maintain strategic vision for efficiently monitoring and meeting current and future regulations
Provide specific compliance interpretation and communication for product decisions
Identify opportunities to align regulatory direction to the benefit of customer value and efficient product development
Skills and Experience:
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Significant progressive engineering experience including people leadership
Understanding of global electrified power source compliance standards and regulations
Test and documentation standards for compliance
Understanding and mitigating future risk by proactively identifying compliance strategies
Established communication skills – able to manage stakeholders, interact with senior leaders and drive clarity down through their team and supporting functions to ensure a successful outcome
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Familiarity with electrified power source mechanical design
