Salary: £67,500
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing bid resource to support delivery of engineering commitments
- Ensuring engineering governance is planned and managed effectively
- Oversight of capability and solution development in compliance with requirements and legislation
- Proposal writing & reviewing, ensuring bids are competitive and deliverable
- Identifying risks and proposing mitigations
- Presenting engineering estimates and undertaking design to cost activities
- Oversight of technical relationships with key stakeholders
- Support the Programme Engineering Manager in regular reviews and upward reporting activities
- Building and performance manage effective teams that embrace change and seek continual improvement
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Previous engineering management experience on campaigns and early lifecycle projects within the IT domain
- Ideally qualified with STEM degree or IT equivalent qualifications with some defence industry or military experience
- Bidding experience including Proposal writing & Competitor assessment
- Identifying and managing technical risks
Desirable:
- Developing & reviewing supplier statements of work
- Experience in analysing customer requirements and understanding balance of compliance to requirements against cost
