Vacancy Engineering Manager
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager at the Clydach Refinery. Reporting to the Head of UK and Asia Refineries, the Engineering Manager will provide Engineering support and resources to support the successful implementation of the Refinery Business Plan. The role will develop and implement strategies to ensure continued Engineering compliance to all existing and new legislation and Vale Management Systems (VPS) The role will also be accountable for ensuring the refinery 5-year project plan is progressed through; participating in the Vale project planning cycle to secure funding and executing those projects that have been funded. As the lead of the Engineering department, they will manage the team and ensure the competence, ongoing development, and succession planning is progressed within the Department.
Additional duties will include developing maintenance strategies to support refinery production and manage the day-to-day Engineering function at the Refinery within set agreed budget levels. Also, the role will ensure all Engineering related capital requirements are identified and brought forward for inclusion into the 5-year capital plan. Further duties will include preparing feasibility studies and design packages for CAR preparation and the management of departmental capital projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong Leadership skills, well developed, and applied Engineering knowledge and experience in managing teams. Additionally, the candidate will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be resilient and able to deal with pressure. A good knowledge of Microsoft packages will be essential for this role.
