Permanent
Reporting To: Plant Manager
Hours of Work: 40 hours, Monday-Friday
Salary: £45,000
As a result of continuous growth, the opportunity has arisen for the role of Engineering Manager within our Manufacturing Business.
Your role:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will oversee the engineering process across all plant departments to ensure optimised production.
You will be responsible for assigning workloads to the engineers, whilst using existing knowledge and experience to support all sites to identify whether production equipment meets legislated safety standards and, where there are shortfalls, work with key stakeholders to correct and improve said standards. You will also use data analysis wherever possible to measure the performance of current machines and assets, as well as engineering and maintenance performance. You should be able to introduce PPM schedules on all production equipment and other assets identified through critical path analysis, and develop local maintenance teams to use techniques that support PPM activity. You will also lead improvement projects where required, and support sites with the introduction and installation of new assets and equipment. It will also be expected that you identify critical spare requirements for all machines, building a group stock using a data based approach in the most cost effective way possible.
As an experienced Engineering Manager you will have vast experience in leading as well as coaching and mentoring a team. You should be flexible in your approach within this fast paced environment with a proven track record of driving productivity and planning whilst being mindful of ever changing demands. Excellent attention to detail and competency in decision making and problem solving is key to success.
