Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Swale
£70-85k DOE + car allowance + bonus + bens
Our client, a large, multi-faceted organisation, has a rare and exciting opening for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join their friendly and hard-working team, based in Swale.
Key Responsibilities:
· Managing three different sites and leading the teams to achieve agreed performance objectives. (monthly travel to sites required)
· Acting as a role model, promoting, and developing a solid culture of operational best practice.
· Offering technical expertise to the team, problem solving in a calm manner.
· Effective performance management, training, coaching, and mentoring team members.
· Managing all structural and civil engineering infrastructure and maintenance projects, ensuring sustainability, and keeping to budgets.
· Developing commercially astute proposals for Capital Expenditure.
· Building excellent business relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
The successful candidate will have/be:
· At least degree level or equivalent qualification in Engineering with a Mechanical bias – chartered status preferred but not essential.
· Progressed through the ranks as a hands-on Engineer, with plenty of practical experience.
· Had exposure to various civil engineering/infrastructure issues.
· Really strong people management skills and experience with a genuine desire to support your team.
· A natural and charismatic leader!
· A solid technical/ mechanical background.
· Ability to problem solve a variety of different challenges, offering technical specialism/ support to the team.
