The Challenge:
Embark on your 12-month placement with us whilst taking part in our fantastic intern development programme. We will create an individual training plan to help you to develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it you will be set up with the best knowledge to equip you for your professional career in Engineering.
- Be part of the Research & Development team, develop your on-the-job experience, enhance and develop your engineering design and testing skill set.
- Make a genuine contribution to the work we do, within the Siemens Protection Devices department.
- Build knowledge of work practices, processes and procedures.
- You will be assigned small projects to ease you into the role after which you will be assigned to a larger project as a team member.
- Present new ideas to the development team and Senior Managers.
- Contribute to the development of new protection devices for the Reyrolle brand.
We will also be looking to boost your ability as well as your professional confidence - factors which will make a real difference when you return for your last year at university.
Here’s what it takes to join some of the world’s brightest minds:
You are studying towards a degree in an electrical engineering-based discipline having a real passion for technology and the desire to build on your skills.
You are motivated and results-oriented, being flexible regarding the projects you could work on. You have excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in communicating at all levels.
Some experience or basic knowledge in electrical engineering for power systems, electrical test and/or computer simulation would be an advantage.
