Position Summary
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT INTERN FOR MEDICAL DEVICES – ULTRASONICS - 6/12 MONTHS,

This is a fantastic internship opportunity for either a student studying towards a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering and/or Physical sciences, based at our Bishop’s Stortford site for an Ultrasonics researcher in the R&D department. The successful candidate will develop tests plans and carry out investigations on ultrasonics for medical device applications involving rust formation in steel tanks, optimal performance with degassing and proffering solutions to ultrasonics falling off the tanks.

Duties
- Perform and document tests (write protocols, tests plans, and reports) according to technical standards.
- Assist in delivering R&D project objectives at various phases in the project lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews, providing technical assistance to internal teams, reviewing technical documentation, and performing tasks assigned by the engineering manager.
- Create, implement, and modify build manuals and work instruction documents.

Education Degree
Required Experience
Students studying toward a Bachelors or Masters degrees in engineering and physical sciences (preferably in their penultimate year of study).
- The ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, service bulletins, manuals, service reports and technical reports.
- Technical curiosity, creativity, innovation, initiative, professional and effective communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good understanding of engineering practices.
- Display leadership and be able to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
