Salary: Starting from £27,500 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 40hours per week

Location: North East of England and Scotland with a requirement to support projects nationally

Graduate Programme

This will be a 2-year programme providing you with valuable exposure and insight into Veolia services and strategic Veolia projects. This role focuses on Veolia’s Industrial, Water and Energy customers in Northern England and Scotland.

As part of the graduate development programme, you will go through a structured development, undertaking health and safety, leadership, business and management modules with your graduate cohort as well as learning more about yourself through 360 coaching sessions and insights profiling. You will have the opportunity to learn more about sustainability and join the wider graduate community.

This role will be made up of x3, 8-month placements, with the intention for the graduate to move into a permanent role upon completion of the graduate programme. Under the current scheme run by this region, 100% of graduates have moved into permanent roles.

Veolia is proud that graduates taking on this role will be delivering real business-critical projects. The first placement location will be based in Edinburgh, with placements 2 and 3 to be agreed upon once the graduate is in post.

What will you be doing?

  • Take initiative to research options and identify potential solutions from within the industry as well as from other sectors around the world.
  • Supporting the business to meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Progressing with projects through the full lifecycle: feasibility, development, implementation and handover - This will involve scoping, design, management of the supply chain and handover to the user.
  • Working directly with engineers and operators on plant and supporting operational and maintenance activities.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree level qualification in Engineering / Environmental
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Willingness to relocate up to 3 times during the graduate scheme
  • Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Willing to travel and with occasional short stays away from home
  • Experience in change management and stakeholder management (desirable)
