JOB DESCRIPTION
JDR Cable Systems Ltd are seeking driven, open minded and dynamic graduate candidates to design highly specialised subsea cable systems for offshore applications in the energy industry and to contribute to the development of new technology in order to push the boundaries of the industry. The successful candidates will join our development training programmes and will also have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills to deal with a large range of stakeholders across the business at all levels as you embark on a career within the energy industry.
As the ideal candidate you will have gained an engineering masters degree within an electrical or mechanical discipline. Flexible in your approach, with an appetite for new challenges, you will work your way through several departments across JDR acquiring knowledge and skills driving you towards future assignments and career opportunities within Design Engineering, Technology or Analysis. At JDR we believe the best way for graduates to learn new skills, enabling them to accelerate their careers with us, is through a range of taster sessions in supporting departments as well as increased time in technical rotations, immersing you into the JDR life from day one.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Operating a hybrid working approach, you will be required to work a minimum of three days a week in the office, these roles can be based at our Hartlepool or Littleport facilities and the other two days a week from home if you wish. We also offer the opportunity to further increase your engineering status by joining accredited bodies such as the IMechE and IET with the view to taking you through to Chartered level. Alongside our own chartered engineers, we will mentor you to get the best out of your chosen technical career path.
