At Arriva, our Engineers keep our buses moving and the communities we serve connected. Whether that’s getting children to school or commuters to work. As an Engineering Apprentice you’ll work alongside a close-knit team of experienced Electricians, Technicians and Engineering Managers who’ll mentor you along the way. Together you’ll keep our buses running at their very best.

This is a 4-year programme working towards an IMI Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician. This is a programme designed for people at every stage in life. It could be your first venture into work after finishing school, or the exciting career move you’ve been looking for. Whatever your motivation, we’re looking for those with an inquisitive mindset who love solving problems and don’t mind getting their hands dirty. As an apprentice with us you’ll earn £7.50 per hour in your first year, raising in your second year in line with National Minimum wage.

To join us as an apprentice you will need to have or expect to achieve GCSEs at Grade C (or above) or Grade 4 (or above) in both English and Maths as well as pass a pre-employment medical.
