Are you an Engineering Administrator looking to join an exciting engineering / manufacturing company in Portsmouth?
If so, we are looking an Engineering Administrator to join our ambitious team at TPG Maritime Ltd in Portsmouth. As our Engineering Administrator, you will be assisting the project engineering team to ensure the technical content of the project is delivered successfully against customer requirements.
At TPG Maritime, we specialise in the design and manufacture of atmospheric control systems for the defence industry and are part of the wider Science Group, an international science, engineering and technology (“SET”) business listed on AIM stock market.
Your role as Engineering Administrator:
- To organise, collate and ensure relevant quality documentation for document packs are present for Quality review.
- Provide information to the Project Engineers and Project Managers, enabling accurate project planning, including providing detail for work packages, breaking down the tasks and estimates of the scale of the work required to complete the project.
- Create and maintain projects BOMs.
- Provide assistance to the Project Engineers in customer communications.
- Work under the direction of the Project Engineers to ensure that activities undertaken align with the customer requirements and project deliverables.
- Assist in the tracking of activities to project plans and budgets, assisting with the reporting to the Project Managers on progress.
- Provide assistance to the Project Engineers in technical support for procurement, production and quality throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely response to action items.
- Follow TPGM processes and procedures relating to the project activities.
- Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as required to support the needs of the business.
- Provide a professional backup service for colleagues during peak times or during absence.
- Maintain continuous professional development to ensure knowledge is up to date.
- Act as an ambassador for the company in all interactions with customers and the public.
About You:
To deliver this role you will be required to have the following:
- Experience in an Engineering Administrator role or similar.
- Qualified in a Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering or another engineering related subject.
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings.
- Flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work well under own initiative.
- Ability to to build long-term successful client partnerships, both internally and externally.
- Ability to negotiate and influence others.
- Strong presentation skills, confident speaker and professionally presented.
- Strong IT Skills – Microsoft programmes.
