Bruce Anchor is currently recruiting for a Senior Anchor Engineer to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. Based in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen the successful candidate will be a key member of a growing engineering team with great career progression opportunities. The role will require an engineer with good analytical and problem-solving skills, for projects often covering multiple engineering disciplines.
You will also be required to play an active role in the growth of the company. This will involve participating in business development activities and in identifying and undertaking key areas of research and development.

Our ideal candidate will come in at a Senior Anchor Engineer level, but we are also open to enthusiastic, analytical candidates who would come at Anchor Engineer level.
Duties
- Performing engineering calculations for specifying drag anchors and installation methods
- Participating in the development of Bruce Anchor products
- Work closely with the Business Development team in attending meeting and identifying potential opportunities
- Liaise with the drawing department for the preparation of design drawings
- Assist in the preparation of deliverables to clients
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and technical proposals in response to enquiries from clients
- Assist in the preparation of company response to invitations to tender
- Interface with clients, vendors and third-party contractors
- Undertake quality assurance activities
- Attend fabricators, inspection/tests, offshore operations, etc.
Requirements
- Degree in relevant Engineering discipline (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineer, Structural Engineering or Ocean Engineering)
- Good understanding of engineering principles
- Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design of offshore structures and geotechnical engineering
- Basic user of computer aided design and drafting software (2D or 3D) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software
- Ability to work internationally and offshore
