JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Metrology Engineer
Department: Engineering
Reporting / Line Manager: Metrology & Systems Manager
THE JOB ROLE
Overall Purpose and Aims of Role
· Provide metrology support to the engineering department
· Ensure all metrology for PPAP requirements available on time to program milestones & Annual Submission
· Provide technical support for inspection department.
Main Duties and Areas of Responsibility
· CMM Programming & Set-up (COSMOS / CAT 1000)
· New Product Introduction – Support Team on compiling ISIR
· Drawing review / feasibility
· Support Gauge Concept
· Gauge Set-up & Validation – ensure gauge R@R & capability study can progress
· ISIR – Review and recommend process / modifications to achieve customer approval
· Annual Customer PPAP – support submission with ISIR & gathering documentation.
Skills and Attributes Required
· Fully trained experienced CMM Programming
· Fully trained experienced Offline CMM Programming using various alignment requirements
· Full understanding of Technical Drawings and GD&T
· High Standard of computer literacy
· Excellent verbal and written communicator
· Attention to detail
· Methodical approach to problem solving
Salary and Hours
Salary starting at £31k but is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
Hours: Days only - Mon to Thur 08:00 - 16:30 and Fri 08:00 - 14:00
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From £31,000.00 per year
