Work under limited supervision to support and perform oversight, specifically to include gaseous diffusion plant stabilization and deactivation activities, Surveillance and Maintenance activities, and Utility Operations; and safeguards and security construction projects.
Review proposals.
Perform 30/60/90%/CFC design package reviews.
Oversee costs, schedules, and budgets of prime contractors and subcontractors.
Review cost estimates, schedule changes, etc.
Conducts Quality Assurance surveillances, including but not limited to records management and management tracking system reports.
Prepare and coordinate reports, studies, calculations, etc.
Facilitate conferences or meetings with client to establish project objectives and resolve design/project concerns.
Coordinate work efforts with project personnel.
Demonstrate ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university in Engineering or related field and ten years’ experience in engineering or related field or fifteen years of related experience
Knowledge of DOE operations, facility design, D&D, D&R, S&M, Infrastructure, operations oversight and experience with modifications and repairs of facilities
Some experience in performing calculations and analyses of design components, equipment operations or corrective actions
Some experience in work planning and scheduling, use of heavy construction equipment and supervision of union labor
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer in related field

Federal Government Clearance:
This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
