Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is recruiting an ENGINEER for our Aberdeen or Glasgow offices to support the Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence (FOW CoE) in the delivery of innovative commercial projects within floating offshore wind (FOW).
The role will be accountable for assisting in the development of FOW CoE research projects and the successful delivery of key project objectives.
What will I do?
- Support the scoping, development and delivery of FOW projects related to dynamic cables, moorings, anchors, technology development, construction, O&M and supply chain.
- Work in close partnership with FOW CoE and industrial stakeholders
- Support delivery of contracted commercial and collaborative projects
- Provide relevant strategic and technical guidance to colleagues and project partners
- Work closely with the Floating Wind team and across members of other workstreams
- Present project outcomes to wider industry and key stakeholders
What are we looking for?
- Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience of offshore wind or relevant industry
- Experience of engagement with stakeholders and industries
- Good knowledge of roles of key industry stakeholders
- Time management and innovative thinking skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and under time constraints
- Strong team player across multi-functional project teams
