National Express has an exciting opportunity to join us as an Engineering Clerk working 38 hours a Week. Please note this role will start between 5am and 8am on Weekdays.
The successful individual will complete administration duties within the Engineering function of Birmingham Central Garage.
What you'll do...
- Input data regarding bus defects
- Conduct daily Engineering checks (ensuring relevant paperwork is completed)
- Report on weekly Engineering statistics (including lost kilometres)
- Maintain bus MOT dates on the system
- Assist the Engineering Manager in updating the VEM plan as required
- Monitor and amend schedules as necessary including - inspection plan, lubes & oils, interior cleans, additional cleans, repaint programme and liaise with Central Engineering to ensure the system is kept up to date
- Typing of minutes, letters, memos and anything Engineering related
- Complete tacho updates on fleet system as and when required
- Be responsible for input and managing engineering wages on UNITEND system.
- Conduct annual task of taxing fleet
- Administer the issuing of PPE and relevant Company documents including Engineers bus passes
What you'll need...
- Be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Access
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organisation and numeracy skills
