WORK STYLE DESIGNATION: Remote CA

EXPECTED PAY RANGE: $136,014 - $149,615

This pay range is for the position's base salary only. This position may be eligible for other compensation including incentive pay and/or allowances. Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and selection process.

Summary:

Provides Engineering Design, development, and production of electronic/ electrical and materials support for products, prototypes, and/or for existing product modifications or redesigns. Engagement with clients on new projects, attended client meetings (video or onsite) interface with client engineering staff. Develop product technology and/or strategy for emerging markets and technology updates for existing markets.

A leadership role, provide guidance to ensure engineering teams complete projects on time and knowledge is transferred to manufacturing for volume production.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently and directly interfaces with personnel from multiple departments including Product development, Project Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, and QA/QC
• Support corrective actions including investigating and resolving deviations related to validation
• Applies extensive technical expertise and has an understanding of the basic principles of other related disciplines
• Represents the organization as the prime technical contact in the bid/product evaluation processes
• Represent the organization at client meetings, evaluate the client objective, identify possible solutions by working with organization engineering/design and technical staff.
• Reviews and works with customer’s request, or internal request for new product design, or modification to current product.
• May assign tasks to and/or direct engineers, technicians, craft personnel and other support staff including coordination.
• Debug and bring up new systems
• Managing project teams and contribute to the professional development of junior colleagues
• Gathers feedback, specifications, drawings, and other relevant input, to understand and clearly define product’s feasibility, best approach, and potential cost.
• Works with other Engineers to outline preliminary specifications, interface requirements, materials needed, timelines, potential issues.
• Designs hardware required for new product, prototype, or re-design.
• Writes design specifications, conducts testing, and performs analysis as required.
• Troubleshoots new products, prototypes, and/or current product failures; and determines or test to modify to correct issues; and or improve existing product’s capabilities based on internal or external customer request
• Works with Software engineering as well as quality to refine product/design.
• Other related duties as required for business operations.

Education:

• MS in Engineering Field (Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, etc.)

Experience:

10 years combined experience in areas including mechanical, electrical, electronic, circuit board, product development.

Skills:

• Ability to manage several projects and prioritize appropriately, with minimal supervision
• Familiar with both software and hardware design
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to build prototypes/demos
