Ceramics Engineer
Doncasters Southern Tool is currently recruiting for Ceramic Engineer for our Engineering department. If you have experience in Engineering,in the Lean production principles and tools; capable of analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work force to maximize efficiency; and improving production design for manufacturability, then this could be the role for you.
The Role
When you join our team as a Ceramics Engineer, you will apply high level of ceramics technical knowledge related to metallurgical, dimensional, process and manufacturing engineering to define the processes and techniques required for the economic development of super alloy investment castings to specific aerospace and other high standard customer specifications. A pro-active self-motivated engineer with the ability to interpret available data and implement a series of actions to bring about a highly controlled and efficient manufacturing process.
- Develop and optimize ceramic materials and processes for investment casting applications in the IGT/Aerospace industry.
- Design, analyze, and modify ceramic molds and cores to meet stringent IGT/Aerospace requirements.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to provide technical expertise in ceramic materials selection, design for manufacturability, and process optimization.
- Perform testing, characterization, and evaluation of ceramic materials to ensure compliance with IGT/Aerospace quality standards and specifications.
- Support the implementation of new technologies, materials, and processes to drive continuous improvement in investment casting operations.

- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field
- A high school diploma plus five years minimum experience as an Engineer or Associate Engineer. Thorough knowledge of investment casting process and manufacturing methods, techniques, and equipment. Equivalent to complete college/university education or thorough practical, technical and theoretic training in Engineering Discipline.
