YOUR ROLE

Our fast-paced ecommerce operation based at East Midlands Gateway, Derby, are looking to recruit a passionate and meticulous Junior BPE Engineer where you will support a brand-new transformational customer actively identifying and promoting the implementation of business process excellence improvements across the operation.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?


Reporting into the BPE Manager you will learn through shadowing your organisational mentor and join the Improvement Technician Level 3 apprenticeship to gain session-based learning that in turn will support on-the-job development.


In your role, you will support the implementation and training of LEAN and Continuous Improvement principles, actively supporting the site with Kaizen events and feedback sessions. You will monitor and manage the tracking and completion of all GEMBA activity, including 5S audits, layered GEMBA walks, waste walks, work Instruction audits and operational walk and talks. You will monitor and report upon the performance of the site, where you will drive and instill a continuous improvement culture across the operation.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


Our ideal candidate will already be operating in a warehousing environment with experience of working in faced paced conditions and a strong understanding of IT based systems, such as MS packages or WMS systems. You will be a motivated individual who is ambitious and keen to progress within a continuous improvement or business process excellence role. You will need to be a confident communicator with excellent verbal and numerical skills, committed to achieving work-based and learning targets and deadlines. It goes without saying that you will be a strong team player with the initiative to work without supervision when needed.


This great role will see you working Monday to Friday, therefore no weekend work required, however adopting a flexible approach would be desirable.
