Intruder Alarm Engineer
Care Guard Security – Job description and requirements.
Successful applicant will be joining a small family owned and run business installed electronic security systems comprising burglar & fire alarms, CCTV, access control, security lighting and security associated work.
Emphasis is on quality customer care and results and you will be working in a very friendly and relaxed environment with similar minded colleagues. Trained applicants will be expected to work on own initiative as well as within the team. Work includes working at height via ladders and where applicable, towers and mobile platforms.
Training will be provided if the applicant is not currently skilled in any of the above. This is mostly “in-house” but outside specialist training will be provided as required by the company.
Working environments include residential / domestic properties, industrial and commercial buildings and sites and new build housing developments.
Benefits
Pay is very much dependent on skill level with an experienced engineer expecting an annual wage of circa £31K+ to include standard 40 hour working week, standby & callout rate (shared equally between all engineers) and associated limited overtime as and when required. For applicants with little or no training or associated skills, starting rate will be from £16K+ PA but will be reviewed approx. every 6 weeks and increased appropriate to knowledge, experience and ability gained. Diligent applicants prepared to learn fast could expect to be on near full rate within 6-9 months or sooner.
A company van is supplied (once trainee’s are able to work on own) along with power tools and test equipment, PPE etc. Hand tools are the responsibility of the employee.
Holiday pay, long term sickness and death in service are included as will workplace pension.
Applicants need to be well presented, have an approachable and polite manner and pass a higher level of security screening than is usually required. A full clean driving license is required.
