Apple’s GPU Software organization provides developers access to harness the power of the graphics processing unit. The GPU Pre-Silicon Driver Team within GPU Software is directly responsible for the development of the GPU driver for our next generations of Apple Silicon GPUs as well as the GPU bring-up for all Apple silicon platforms including iPhone, iPad, Watch and Mac. Its responsibilities span the lifecycle of a new product from the initial specification of GPU features to their implementation and validation within our OS Software stack.
Key Qualifications
- Strong background in operating systems, parallel programming and system architecture
- Knowledge of CPU or GPU architecture
- You have excellent communication skills. Including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple audiences and partners, including the ability to explain analytical outcomes and technical roadblocks
- You are results-oriented, upbeat and focused with a strong passion to learn and succeed
- Proven engineering experience
- 2+ years experience as a technical lead or engineering manager

Description
The GPU Pre-Silicon Driver team is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated engineering manager to own the development of GPU drivers on upcoming Apple Silicon GPU architectures. The team is responsible for adding support for new GPU features and bringing up the OS driver software stack on pre-silicon environments. In addition, the team contributes to GPU specification reviews and requirement definitions for future Apple SoCs. This specific leadership role is focussing on efficiently scheduling work on our GPUs for best-in-class responsiveness on our platforms. It involves implementing new features as well as defining tools and processes to appropriately define and measure performance of graphics or compute applications as well user-interface interactions.
