About the Role...
We have a new opportunity to join Aircraft Operability Systems, based in Filton, and are looking for talented candidates to join our team to influence the future of aircraft maintenance.
Our mission is to ensure that our aircraft meet customer expectations in their everyday operations. That means ensuring our latest products are reliable and can be operated economically in an ever-challenging world. You will be a part of this mission, working across multiple projects, with particular focus on Landing Gear and Fuel systems, as well as ZEROe. You will be be part of the transnational Airbus' Architecture and Integration centre , with the possibility to lead your own maintenance tests on-aircraft.
How you will contribute to the team...
You’ll be based in Filton, but it’s a transnational role! You will be responsible to an Operability Integrator in Toulouse on each programme you work with, and will interface day-to-day with Design Office representatives, local Chief Engineers and Programme alike.
Our team is small, but diverse and inclusive, spread across five Airbus sites. Each of us brings something slightly different in terms of our background or experience, so have a think what you could bring to our group!
You will:
Evaluate if our design solutions are airline-friendly. You will need to model in-service data, recognise and apply scenarios of how airlines use their assets today and how they want to use them tomorrow.
You’ll also go a step further and become aware of the emerging technical architectures from our designers, so that you can credibly influence how the products of the future will look.
Work on both validation and verification at component-level, presenting at MGx reviews and supporting local and Operability-level DPM’s
About you...
You will have an awareness of airline operations fundamentals
Background in Systems design, customer services or an airline operational environment
Comfortable to use digital technologies to model large data volumes, and integrate in a future MBSE environment
Ability to manage a caseload, sometimes with conflicting deadlines
Comfortable to represent the department in front of suppliers, chief engineers and team leaders
How we can support you
Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time. Please talk to us at the interview about the flexibility you need and we’ll always do our best to accommodate your request.
Please let us know if you need us to make any adjustments for the selection process – you can share this with your Talent Acquisition Partner if you are invited to interview. Examples may include (but not exclusive to) accessible facilities; auxiliary aids; room layout, etc. Any information disclosed will be treated in the strictest confidence.
