Engagement Officer - Permanent, £28,164 per annum
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Engagement Officer who can help develop and nurture engagement with and awareness of our organisation. We are a specialist sexual violence centre providing support to survivors of sexual violence, aged 18+, living in Nottingham/shire. Our services are designed so that we support in ways that are safe and easy to access. We understand the needs of different survivors including age, gender, or whether a person is BAME or LGBT+. We have a wide range of support options and can refer into other services as needed.
Location
Current hybrid - remote working from home and in office working NG1 with travel required across Nottingham/shire as part of the engagement role.
Hours of work
37.5 hrs per week Monday – Friday (which can include occasional evening and weekend work)

Job purpose
Promote community engagement and increase referrals into Notts SVS Services by building lasting relationships with varied stakeholders and increasing engagement from underrepresented groups and people with protected characteristics.
This will involve being responsible for developing and maintaining strong, positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholder groups, including but not limited to primary and secondary care, leisure services and the community and voluntary sector and community services.
This will also involve working with survivors and other specialist support services to identify the challenges faced by survivors in accessing services
Responsibilities
· Supporting the development and implementation of the Engagement Strategy.
· Engaging local services and partners to ensure local awareness and explore partnership opportunities and co-production activities and confirm referral pathways.
· Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of the service and using feedback to constructively participate in shaping and development of the service.
Essential experience, qualifications and skills
· Educated to degree level with relevant qualifications, for example in engagement, community outreach, advice and guidance, equality and diversity.
· Demonstrable experience of partnership working and collaborating with various organisations.
· Knowledge of issues around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and how these can impact accessibility to services.
· The ability to travel independently across Nottinghamshire.
