Engagement and Participation Lead - £26,633 - £29,296 pa

Hours – 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Service – Adult Service Delivery

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will be responsible for improving client, family & friend participation across adult mental health services. We want to ensure positive communication and support is in place for service users, family and friends. We recognise the value of working with everybody involved in ensuring the wellbeing of our clients.

Overall job responsibility – Some of the core duties include:

  • Identify and role model the use of creative and flexible approaches to hear the voices of those that would struggle to share their views through more conventional approaches (including adults with complex needs).
  • Increase understanding of co-production and embed culture which utilises opportunities for co- production and co-design
  • Develop opportunities for people with lived experience of mental health, to participate, volunteer and work for Response including identified projects, interview panels and paid peer support worker roles in partnership with Oxford Health.
  • To lead clients and family engagement initiatives within adult services to inform service re-design, transformational projects and improve safety and outcomes
  • Ensure there are appropriate systems in place to record and report data relevant to the evaluation of services
  • Ensure adult service meets its contractual KPIs regarding clients, family and friends .
  • Monitor and develop engagement in terms of expert by experience groups/forums, house meetings and champions across services
  • Work closely with the Response Engagement and Fundraising managers to co-ordinate engagement activity to maximise resources
  • Work with involvement leads across the Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership and Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care System

  • Experience of improving service performance through KPIs and Objectives
  • Adept planning, organisational skills and delegation
  • Ability to understand and analyse data and utilise this to inform onward actions or decision making
  • Strong relationship building and coaching skills including relations with individuals using services, staff, internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to adapt this for the intended audience
  • Ability to assess and manage risk

You will receive the training and confidence to use core therapeutic talk therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-based Trauma Informed Care and Mutual Aid to provide the best possible support to our clients.
