Full Time, Fixed Term - 12 months
We need a highly motivated person who would like to join a friendly and supportive Fostering Service. We need you to work closely with Fostering Service and External Communications Team colleagues to lead, develop, deliver, and review Bristol’s recruitment and retention strategy for foster carers.
You will work with key stakeholders and partners to raise the profile of Bristol City Council Fostering Service at a local level, promote the value of fostering for Bristol City Council, increase the number of high-quality applicants from different areas and contribute to reducing turnover rates through agreed recruitment, retention, and development initiatives.
You will have a positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, social media skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About us:
You will be joining a service where there are specialisms in the ‘recruitment and assessment of foster carers’, ‘supervision, support, and training of foster carers’ and those who lead on ‘Kinship Assessments and Special Guardian Assessment and Support’.
We are based at B Bond office which is located in central Bristol, in an open plan office with views over the floating harbour, Clifton Suspension Bridge and Ashton Court. The office is within easy reach of good transport connections and shops, café’s and amenities.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
