Enforcement Officer

West Berkshire Council have a vacancy for a full time Enforcement Officer within the Public Protection Partnership (a joint service of Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Licencing) to investigate and enforce the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 with specific regards to envirocrime and fly-tipping.
The role will be based solely in Bracknell Forest and the successful candidate will be required carry out investigating fly tipping and lead on co-ordinating investigations into organised criminal behaviour as well as local household enforcement. This will require the ideal candidate to be approachable, skilled in communication as well being organised in preparing formal interviews and legal reports for Court action.
In addition, candidates must have experience in criminal investigations, gathering evidence that can be used in court, report writing and must have a good knowledge of the regulatory framework in which investigations are conducted, such as The Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.
