About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Energy Manager to join the Estate Services team within Facilities Management, to manage Edge Hill University’s consumption of energy including supplied and extracted water. This is a vitally important role for the University that will establish the current position, ensuring that the University is compliant with current legislation and policy on carbon emissions and energy usage.
You will be responsible for the University’s efficient use of utilities across the University’s estate. You will also review the energy management policy and revise the strategy for reducing energy costs and environmental impact as well as develop a programme of energy saving opportunities and measure the savings achieved.

About You
As an Energy Manager, you will:
- have a degree, or equivalent, ideally in a built environment, sustainability discipline or substantial relevant experience of working with energy management in a large estate
- have a good understanding of the application of electrical, mechanical and Building Management Systems (BMS) systems as well as considerable knowledge energy analysis
- have knowledge of the utilities market
- have thorough knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to energy and carbon management.
- be able to prepare detailed technical reports regarding the use and conservation of energy and water
