We are looking for experienced Energy Engineers to assist in the design of projects in the commercial and institutional building industry.

Responsibilities:

• Perform energy simulations to assist the design teams in selection of equipment and strategies to reach the owner’s energy use goals.
• Documentation of LEED projects
• Prepare energy compliance reports (COMcheck, California Title 24/EnergyPro, Energy Gauge, Seattle/Washington State and ASHRAE forms)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience performing energy simulations for LEED projects
• Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to identify, analyze, and solve engineering problems using industry standards and engineering calculations
• Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
• Associated degree in applicable technical field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Energy modeling experience with EnergyPlus, Carrier Hourly Analysis Program (HAP), Trane Air Conditioning Economics (TRACE 700 or TRACE 3D Plus™) program.
• In possession of or eligible to obtain LEED BD+C, or ID+C credentials
• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited curriculum
• Previous experience with industry energy use standards
• Proficient in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of MEP engineering principles
