Your role at a glance

The Onboarding Management team is to act as the gatekeeper for Global Operations in managing the co-ordination and implementation of any new client driven business initiative channelled through various LGIM business streams that will:

  • Impact multiple Global Operation teams/require cross-operational assessment or representation
  • Require bespoke/non-standard BAU Operations support
  • Require coordination across multiple external parties

The team is tasked with ensuring that all client initiatives such as Bespoke Transactions, New Instruments and Markets co-ordination, new clients and pooled fund launches and amendments are delivered to a high standard, including managing stakeholder expectations on behalf of Global Operations.

The role has a strong focus on development of the team functions as they look to evolve as a centre of excellence. The role combines high levels of technical expertise with ultimate accountability for the successful implementation of significant new business streams

What you'll be doing
  • Robust governance, management and implementation of client driven projects/initiatives
  • Identify and highlight non-standard requirements that impact Global Operations applicable to all new business initiatives.
  • Work closely with the operational teams to execute change at an effective and fast pace whilst operating within a structured governance framework.
  • Identify processes and service enhancements or potential risks, to ensure the client service provided is of the highest standard and remains fully compliant
  • Challenge established methods, explore and promote new ideas or ways of working with the buy in and enthusiasm from the team and key stakeholders
  • Ensure that superlative service levels are maintained to both internal and external parties
  • Operate within a risk and governance framework for both initiation and implementation phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transition into BAU with documented procedures and controls
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with peers across the Global Operation teams both internally and at State Street to share best practise and create awareness of issues throughout the department
What we're looking for
  • Robust technical investment knowledge/experience relevant to role
  • Experience of planning and implementing projects
  • Ability and understanding of complex transaction structures, including various alternative and illiquid asset types, private credit / equity pooled funds, property equity and direct investments
  • Understanding of derivative products and other vanilla securities
  • Ability to develop and implement new operating models to support new asset types
  • Exposure to automation projects and 3rd party platforms, specifically in relation to illiquid asset types
  • Experience of responding to RFPs / RFIs, specifically in relation to large pension clients / PRT
  • Proven track record of being flexible, adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast paced and changeable environment
  • Collaborative and personalised approach to service commitment, delivery and continuous improvement
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and able to work accurately under pressure
  • Robust communication skills, both verbally and written, with an ability to successfully articulate issues clearly and logically.
