Employee Relations Specialist
Location: : Cambridge with occasional travel to Pancras Square and Macclesfield.
Hydrid working: 3 days a week in the office

As the Employee Relations Specialist you will be responsible for the provision of a specific consultancy services on the basic rights and obligations of employers and employees arising from the contract of employment and associated legislation. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of legally robust employment policies, practices and processes and provide in country or global managers with coaching related to country-specific Employee Relations policies, practices and processes.
Typical Accountabilities:
Provides advice and consultancy services against a broad portfolio of employment cases
Typically owns case resolution, considering risks (legal, financial and reputational) and developing appropriate approaches for resolution; escalates only the most complex cases for resolution
Closely collaborates with Legal Counsel and appropriate third parties to reach closure on cases and ensure appropriate advice is received on technical matters or progress compromise agreements
Develops relationships with senior manager and other specialists to provide employment relations advice. Acts as an advisor to business leaders when contemplating or implementing business change
Assists in the development and maintenance of legally robust employment policies and processes
Facilitates training programmes to up skill business leaders, line management and HR professionals to manage business change effectively
Regularly reviews employment relations policies, recommends enhancements and working collaboratively to update policies to ensure compliance
Ensures that changes to policies and processes are communicated appropriately
Mentors more junior staff and acts as a point of reference in own specialist area

CIPD qualified desirable not essestial
HR / business related degree
