Employee Relations Case Manager - National - Hybrid Working Model
Starting Salary £30,000 pa with pay progression

Location - Flexible. This is a hybrid working role with a blend of on-site and remote working. Additional travel maybe required to support business needs.

About the role
As one of our Employer Relation Case Managers, you’ll work within our operation to support the management of a variety of ER cases, enabling Operations to deliver their people-based accountabilities.
In this challenging new role, you’ll provide practical support to various levels of management within the operational population. In addition to managing and taking ownership of a variety of ER cases, you’ll also provide input into ER case management best practices to drive improvements.
Your case work will touch on all aspects of ER, for example, conduct, grievances, long term absence, and bullying and harassment etc. You’ll also work closely with our Advice and Support Teams to help drive case resolutions.
About You
- To be truly successful in this role, you’ll possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience and knowledge of employee relations from either a retail or hospitality background or you are a current operational manager or branch manager performing HR duties such as conducting investigation and disciplinary meetings, managing problematic and long-term absence cases, dealing with grievance related matters, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and initiating meetings to discuss corrective actions.
- Ability to quickly engage with and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a variety of stakeholders to influence decision making
- IT literate, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Customer focussed with ability to deliver a high-quality service
- Strong planning and organisation skills, able to effectively multi-task
- Resilient, with the ability to constructively challenge others as appropriate
Desirable criteria
- CIPD or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with trade unions
