P&O Ferries have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ER Advisor to join our People’s team, this role will involve travel to our ports and offices across the UK and Europe. In this role we require someone who has a wealth of ER experience but also the knowledge and ability to coach leaders to drive a leader owned decision making culture.

You will be our go to person for ER advise and support to managers with up to date knowledge and expertise with legal compliance regarding employee relation cases and be an individual who can manage the operational relationships with Trade Unions.
Location: Home based but the role will include frequent travel to our ports including Hull & Liverpool, Zeebrugge as well as travel to our Dover offices.
Key elements of the role:
- Work closely with HR Colleagues and Union representatives to ensure a consistent and fair application of HR policies and procedures
- Prepare documentation for trade union meetings
- Develop and train managers on ER related topics.
- Build and maintain toolkits for managers and guidance documents for the People team on all policies
- Lead, carry out and take part in continuous improvement reviews of all policies and processes.
About you:
- Practical ER knowledge, experienced and application within UK (essential)
- Experience of managing complex employee relation cases including those involving union representation.
- Experience of working in a complex, legacy environment (desirable)
- Strong analytical capability, highly numerate with evidence of using data and analysis
- Degree level of equivalent
