Are you passionate about improving the experiences our people have whilst working at GSK? Do you have proven employee / customer research capabilities with application on large-scale global projects? Are you able to consistently deliver quality outcomes at a fast pace to tight timelines and influence senior stakeholders? If so, this could be the opportunity for you!

As an Employee Experience Partner, you will work alongside experts within the Digital Accelerator team, which sits in Tech Strategy & Performance. This is a ‘hands-on’ role, where you will be responsible for conducting employee research, formulating data driven insights and making recommendations to stakeholders to influence experience and / or investment related decisions.

The role will include designing and facilitating multiple workshops to take project / operational teams through a human centred design approach to surface ‘true’ problems and co-create solutions with ‘real’ users.

The role will also be responsible for designing and conducting experiments to test hypothesis and / or validate proposed experience related solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct employee research - synthesise data and information from multiple sources (e.g., desk research, surveys, interviews, focus groups, tech system data, external websites / companies) to formulate experience-related insights

  • Design and facilitate ‘experience design’ workshops to map ‘as-is’ and co-create ‘to-be’ experiences with target employee group(s) and project / operational teams. Prioritise and develop solutions to move towards the desired future state experience

  • Produce outputs to help stakeholders visualise the experience and ‘see’ where issues lie (e.g., problem statements, personas, pen portraits, empathy maps, experience maps etc.)

  • Develop data-driven insights and recommendations and present to senior stakeholders in a compelling, concise, and story-telling way (written and verbal) - to influence experience and / or investment related decisions

  • Input into the design of experience related feedback mechanisms – influence project / operation teams to ensure that data obtained from these feedback loops are reviewed and actioned in a timely and sustainable way

  • Where issues/blockers are identified in an experience, suggest a ‘fix’ – support delivery and/or ensure the ‘fix’ is added to the project/product ‘backlog’

  • Use a strong data-driven approach to design and conduct experiments to either test experience related hypothesis and/or validate proposed experience related solutions

  • Support growth and effectively co-manage the operation of our volunteer employee network, which focusses on providing feedback on new ideas and solutions

  • Develop content to deliver, teach and coach others to conduct experience related work

Why You?

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research – in either a customer experience (CX), employee experience (EX) or user experience (UX) capacity (in house or agency side)

  • Experienced facilitator – with ability to design and deliver hybrid workshops that generate value-add outcomes for stakeholders. Confident using digital collaboration tools (e.g., Mural, Miro)

  • Demonstrable experience applying a human centered design approach (e.g., design thinking) – with ability to confidently teach / coach others

  • Proven experience of working on ambiguous, fast paced, complex programmes / initiatives at an enterprise level – confidently delivering pieces of work in days, as opposed to weeks/months

  • Strong project management and execution skills – with track record of disciplined delivery

  • Skilled at working in the detail, whilst simultaneously able to communicate key messages in an effective and concise manner (written and verbal)

  • Self-starter and leader of initiatives – operating with tenacity, resilience, and a can-do attitude

  • Ability to work with an agile, experimental mindset and exhibits smart data driven decision making

  • Demonstrable experience using data analysis and reporting platforms (e.g., SPSS, Qualtrics, Power BI). Confident working with multiple and large data sets

  • Advanced PowerPoint and intermediate MS Teams and Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup, conditional formatting)

  • Degree in Behavioural Science or Psychology (a plus)

  • Knowledge of change management methodologies (a plus)
