We are looking for an Employee Communications Manager to join the UK Communications team. This person will work closely with the Head of Communications for Wealth & Personal Banking UK, Sitting within the UK Communications team, this role supports the management and implementation of the employee communications strategy for Wealth & Personal Banking UK, in order to drive engagement and help deliver the business objectives.

In this position you will be a skilled internal communicator with proven experience of planning and executing strategic internal communications across a range of digital and face to face channels. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once, often with competing demands and deadlines.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders across Wealth & Personal Banking UK, demonstrating an understanding of the different business areas and audience needs to inform comms planning
  • Manage employee communications plans for your designated business areas, develop content runways and own delivery through planning and creating content in a variety of formats including, but not limited to, our social intranet, emails, newsletters, town halls and webcasts, video, podcasts, infographics, and digital screen content
  • Draft talking points, messages, or scripts from leaders to colleagues in written or spoken form
  • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent with external communications messages
  • Respond to feedback from stakeholders and colleagues and adjust communications content accordingly
  • Measure and iterate to drive for continual improvement
  • Support change programmes and responsibly handle confidential information
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following essential requirements:

  • Able to work within an ambiguous environment, prioritise and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues.
  • Proven internal communications experience within a large audience
  • A proven track record in managing and implementing employee communication plans, translating into solid and practical delivery programmes, with production of content in different formats
  • Ability to take lead of events and event experiences
  • Ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Good knowledge of communication trends and best practiceGood knowledge of financial services industry and global marketplace.

The base location for this role is Birmingham/Hybrid.
