Job description
Assess the emotional health needs of young people attending Nottingham Childrens Hospital and provide a range of information and support relevant to the role. Deliver group and person-centred one-to-one intervention, using evidence-based interventions and guided self-help techniques, such as LL-CBT. Through case management, supervision, and NUH Youth Service pathway, escalate cases where the level of need or risk is beyond the scope of low-intensity. Establish relationships with key individuals and, as appropriate, parents/carers and siblings.
Provide training to health care staff about the mental health needs of young people, up skilling staff and promoting confidence to work with young people in these situations
