Within its Early Careers talent segment, HSBC runs it’s flagship Global Graduate Programme recruiting up to 1500 students annually across 16 markets into Global Businesses and Digital Business Services areas. This role sits within the Group Emerging Talent team leading the design, delivery and governance of our selection strategy. The role sits within a high-performing, fast-paced and collaborative team who work in partnership to support and deliver HSBC’s flagship programmes
The Emerging Talent Selection Lead role is responsible for delivery of the global graduate selection strategy and process driving the appropriate levels of compliance to this across all global teams. The role is responsible for overseeing and effectively managing the recruitment pipeline ensuring pipeline data is interrogated, investigated and used to inform decisions throughout the recruitment season. The role will improve the performance and efficiency of HSBC’s vendor and In-house recruitment teams to be managed cost effectively by focusing on process optimization, improvement and compliance, operational risk management and strong governance.
You will need to respond to changing economic and market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices and the impact of new technology. You will work to optimize operating infrastructure to avoid inefficiencies, duplication of effort and to drive closer alignment with the wider HSBC resourcing model.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- The design and delivery of the global selection process and driving the appropriate levels of compliance to this across all global teams. This includes leading validation activity to demonstrate its effectiveness and approval of any process variations.
- Managing effective vendor partner relationship to ensure delivery against expected service levels and managing escalations appropriately. Drive commercial value by identifying and delivering on ways to optimize this.
- Driving appropriate integrations of processes and practices across platforms, vendors and other pillars of emerging talent activity such as reporting, attraction, diversity and development.
- Proactively monitoring, reviewing and interrogating pipeline data to identify risks and priority focus areas for the in-season campaign – use these to inform enhancements and transformational activities.
- Reviewing the RPO model globally and making recommendations on enhancements to optimize this whilst also driving closer alignment with the Recruitment function
- Identifying and implementing additional transformational and functional solutions, service delivery and operational efficiency improvements which adhere to policy, process and management standards to support the Emerging Talent strategy.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Early Careers experience is essential
- Significant resourcing / HR experience and track record of working in partnership with and delivering through other HR colleagues in an intellectually demanding environment is essential
- Strong stakeholder management with external vendors is essential
- Specific experience of campus recruitment and attraction
- Demonstrable track record in process management and improvement delivering significant reduction in time and experience through streamlining resourcing processes
- Strong experience of training and implementing consistency and lasting change is essential
- Experience of working in a large complex matric organisation is essential to this role
This is a hybrid role but we connect regularly in person at 8 Canada Square, London
