We’re one of the country’s leading Major Trauma Centers and, accordingly, always at the forefront of new and exciting opportunities within the NHS. Supported by an exceptional clinical team of colleagues who work at the forefront of development and innovation, we’re consistently looking at ways of improving current working practices too. Right now, we’re looking for an Administrator who’s not afraid of change. In fact, we want someone who truly embraces change and innovation and wants to join a diverse team in a busy but rewarding department where they can work both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Operating within the clearly defined limits of our policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines, and as part of a team, you’ll aid the smooth running of the CSU and reflect high quality customer care in all your daily activities.
The department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and as such you will need to be flexible in your approach to working hours. In a regular shift pattern, you can expect to do early shifts (approx. 7am to 3pm), late shifts (approx. 2pm to 10pm) and overnight shifts (approx. 9pm to 7am). In addition to your basic salary, any time worked outside of normal 'social' hours (6am to 8pm weekdays) will be compensated with 'unsocial hours' pay, in accordance with national NHS standards.
All training required to undertake the post will be provided, in addition to support for your personal and professional development. And, as well as encouraging your progression, via our appraisal process you'll also have the opportunity to access relevant training i.e. ECDL, NVQ Level 2 in healthcare administration/supervisory skills.
