Your key responsibilities


The EMEIA Microsoft Alliance Markets Enablement Manager is responsible for working with the Area/Global Alliance Relationship Director(s) of Microsoft to develop a plan for establishing and elevating EY’s market position with the alliance partner(s). The scope of this role has a focus on EMEIA. The Markets Enablement manager will manage sales enablement for the Microsoft Alliance, aligning with global and area alliance, solution, sector and SL leadership. This role is part of the Global Alliance and Ecosystem Relationship Program which has responsibility for:


  • Increasing Global sales and revenue, by leveraging EY’s alliance relationships to drive sales and delivery assisted and influenced by alliances across joint solutions, campaigns and active engagement in the field
  • Increasing pipeline of EY opportunities through collaboration with alliance partner
  • Increasing win rates and reduce delivery risk through collaboration with alliances


Essential function of the job include:


  • Collaborate with the Alliance Relationship Director and Alliance Leader to develop a plan for establishing and elevating EY’s market position with the alliance partner(s).
  • This role will act as a quarterback, orchestrating activities across the Areas in alignment with Alliance GTM priorities.
  • Collaborate with Regions/Country Alliance Leads to coordinate Go to market events and campaigns
  • Team with the alliance relationship director and/or campaign director in successful execution of Area/Global GTM campaigns, inclusive of developing Sales enablement materials and identifying tactics to educate the alliance partner(s) and EY on the alliance value proposition and how to position with clients.
  • Oversee the creation of content as required by the alliance partner (e.g. win stories and credentials, solution materials), coordinating with areas/global as needed to promote consistency
  • Define and execute alliance event strategy – coordination with alliance partner, alliance team, Meeting & Events and BMC – on creation and execution of event for in person and virtual alliance events for the purpose of building pipeline
  • Collaborate with BMC on the brand strategy for the alliance to incorporate brand into the sales enablement content and execution activities
  • Leverage EY channels to educate EY practioners and business development on the value proposition of the Alliance and the EY solutions/FoPs/Sectors where the alliance is embedded
  • Collaborate with alliance practices on the development of analyst responses
  • Develop partner award submission responses to secure partner of the year awards for Area/Global awards


Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have


  • Bachelor’s/University degree in a related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of experience with a combination of consulting services, marketing enablement, consultative sales and managing or developing alliances
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • In-depth understanding of specific technologies and solutions
    • Ability to understand the broad array of technologies and solutions, client issues, and competitive landscape relevant for the Alliance
    • Understand how nuances and variables across various technologies/solutions drive different marketing, sales, and delivery models
    • Understand how the business model for each technology/solution fits within EY’s strategy and the Alliance partner’s strategy
  • Deep understanding of the alliance sales process
  • Fully understand the technology and partner/EY sales model and apply understanding in order to develop highly effective sales enablement materials
  • Ability to craft and refine executive-level content and communications
  • Apply critical thinking and appropriate judgement to evaluate & prioritize appropriate programs and make high-level operational decisions


Ideally, you’ll also have


  • Prior experience working globally and/or leading a distributed team preferred.
  • Deep understanding of EY matrixed structure and stakeholder
    • ability to identify who, where and how decisions are made within EY functional/regional/sector matrix
    • ability to figure out how to access those stakeholders
    • ability to craft and target communications that are carefully tailored to each audience
