Full Job Description:
Location: Newtown / Hybrid
Salary: Up to £60,000
Our client in Telford is seeking an enthusiastic Embedded Software Engineer to join their team during a growth phase in their already well-established software department. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work and develop their skills for an international company, alongside a great leadership team, and on some interesting projects.
This role will require the candidate to work three days a week in Newtown and two days remotely, so candidates should either be based in Newtown or within a commutable distance.
Essential skills:
- 3+ years of experience in C++
- Understanding of multithreaded applications
Desirable skills:
- Experience of low-level Ethernet
- Previous work with ARM processors
- Experience with Renesas processors
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Using C++ to develop new software for Control Techniques
- Working within the Research and Development group on proposing and implementing new designs and code.
- Perform Ethernet protocols such as EtherCAT or Ethernet IP
- Contribute to team test plans and write test cases for automated test runs.
