Aerospace Embedded Software Engineer

Due to ongoing expansion, Alten Ltd is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Bicester within the Aerospace sector. This is a fantastic chance to join a fast-growing company with strong core values of, Excellence, Accountability, Integrity and Service.

Your new role:

As an Embedded Software Engineer you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the Aerospace industry.

As an embedded software engineer your main responsibilities will be:

  • To develop software and programming across a portfolio of embedded systems.
  • To analyse top level solution requirements and decompose software specific requirements.
  • To Write test code and support the compliance of activities and statements of the software system against the requirement.
  • Support and follow complete software bug cycle

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result-oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as an Embedded Software Engineer and a consultant.

Experience required:

  • Proficiency in C++ and C programming languages
  • Professional experience using Matlab
  • Working knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
  • Exposure to working with engine motors
  • Knowledge of Do-178c standards
  • Aerospace engineering background preferred

Qualifications required:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.
