National: £39,000 - £44,000.00
London: £42,500.00 - £47,500.00

About the role
You will have overall accountability for our Email Marketing. This means you will lead our team in developing automated customer journeys, be our go-to expert on email best practice and technology and be the face of email marketing at Macmillan. Our email marketing team provide our marketers with the resources and support they need to deliver excellent email marketing: you’ll be leading this team and making sure we keep improving.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing two email executives as they deliver customer journeys, manage our Email Service Provider platform Dotdigital, provide training to colleagues, and act as guides to the organisation on how to employ email marketing
- Lead our relationship with Dotdigital, our Email Service Provider
- Act as the lead representative for our Email Marketing team across Macmillan, working with Technology, Compliance, Legal and other teams to make sure our email communications fulfill our best practice, legal and technical obligations
- Provide senior guidance on email journeys, automation, reporting and all aspects of email marketing
About you
- You will have strong email marketing and management experience
- You’ll be very familiar with Dotdigital or other enterprise level Email Service Providers
- You’ll have a great grasp of customer journeys in principle and on automation of email journeys in particular
- You’ll be used to dealing with stakeholders of different levels, and be an expert in managing different priorities and the expectations of others
- You will have a good understanding of what makes for successful email marketing, and be able to use that knowledge to be our senior authority on email
