Electronics Engineer
Full Time
Solihull/Hybrid – average 3 days on site per week
This role is targeted at Graduate level/Early Career for direct entry into the team.

The Electronics and Electrical team within Systems and Controls is currently around 150 engineers, providing electronic controls and other electronics or electrical technology for cross sector aerospace and non-aerospace applications.

What you’ll be doing:
In this role you will deliver electronic design & development activities in support of a control and instrumentation electronic units for high integrity harsh environment applications.

Elicit and capture the high-level customer requirements for an electronic unit, being able to work in parallel and with some degree of uncertainty.

Ensure methods employed in the product design and developments are technically sound and appropriate for the project being undertaken and to company processes

Activities range from creation of detailed specifications, conceptual design, detailed design and definition, integration of the system and unit verification and qualification, ensuring that detailed requirements are achieved, and critical safety hazards identified are mitigated.

Degree qualified in a STEM related subject, preferably with Electronics/Electrical knowledge.

Curious, self-motivated, and confident to challenge when appropriate.

Technical problem-solving abilities as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills

Experience in an Electronics Engineering role preferable but not essential. Electronics background could include Design or Verification experience in Power Supplies, Power Electronics, Machine, Analogue, Digital including VHDL or EMC.

Experience in an aerospace or safety critical environment preferable.
