Job Specification

The Job You’ll Do;

  • The primary focus of this role is to work within the design process to develop existing products and create new products and solutions for customers.
  • Develop using analogue and digital circuit design solutions, to fulfil the design requirements outlined in the design process.
  • Support the Production department with issues arising from the production of designed products.
  • Support Technical Support and Servicing with issues arising from designed products.
  • Continuously stay connected with trending techniques and technologies in electronic engineering that can be used to create innovative designs.
  • Commissioning of systems for new products where appropriate.

About You;

  • Previous electronic circuit design experience including PCB design.
  • Degree level education in an Electrical/Electronics related subject.
  • Having worked with programming microprocessors, PLD/DSP through to design using discrete transistors.
  • Demonstrable software skills that include some of the following: PIC assembler, PYTHON, C, C++, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ARM.
  • Experience with embedded PC platforms, running Linux, would also be helpful.
  • IP related Product design.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Researcher, compatible with a learning organisation ethic.
  • Can work as a team or as an individual.
  • Persistent, open to new ideas and able to work with them.
