We are currently recruiting for a Electronics Engineer to support the Hardware team in defining, designing, testing, validating and certifying EDMI products.
The Electronics Engineer will be the owner of the electronics design and will be responsible for ensuring that all requirements are fulfilled.
- Regularly report to the Hardware Manager the progress of the design (timelines) and the associated risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
- Interface with other members of the team (layout, compatibility with the mechanical design, testing).
- Work with external test laboratories in order to qualify products
- This role will be responsible for:
- Defining EDMI products
- Write hardware specification based on the requirements (customer and internal)
- Interact with different design teams in order to re-use EDMI experience
- Interact with the product manager about the specification
- Designing EDMI products
- Draw the schematic on our internal system
- Select components based on our database or offer alternatives
- Liaise with the layout engineer
- Liaise with the mechanical team for the PCB design.
- Testing EDMI products
- Deliver and implement a test plan of electronic designs
- Write and store test reports
- Visit some UK labs for pre-compliance testing.
- Share your results with EDMI design teams and
- Validating and certifying EDMI products.
The candidate will hold a relevant degree in electronics or related to electronics (essential).
It is essential that the candidate has experience of delivering products in an industrial/consumer electronic market.
The successful candidate shall demonstrate the following points:
Essential:
- Knowledge in analog electronic design (experience in linear or switched-mode power supplies, experience in component selection, experience of PCB technology, knowledge of RF design)
- Experience in interfacing with suppliers/prototyping companies.
- Experience in certifying electronic/RF products for the European market (RED, LV, RoHS)
