The Opportunity Caterpillar's Electrification & Advanced Power Solutions (E&APS) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries. As the Compliance Project Lead the successful candidate will be integral to Caterpillar's New Product and New Technology programs, developing Battery and Fuel Cell power sources, ensuring compliance with product regulations, and delivering certifications. The role involves leading the identification of product regulatory requirements, compiling compliance evidence, and implementing governing processes to ensure compliance. This will include communication of requirements to engineers and program managers, leading delivery of projects to timelines, and reviewing design solutions against industry standards. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for Safety, an attention to detail, and experience in product development or compliance. Job Responsibilities and Duties: Working with our teams to identify the product regulatory requirements relating to Batteries, Fuel Cells, and electrified powertrains across global markets Communicate requirements to Product and Engineering leaders, ensuring that actions are clearly agreed, and delivered to timelines. Provide leadership and governance in the resolution of issues and development of processes. Support the technical assessment of products and designs to ensure that they meet industry standards. Produce compliance documentation and work with certification bodies Provide coaching and leadership to other team members Develop and implement Lean processes for the delivery of compliant products and management of risk. Skills and Experience: Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles: Experienced in managing product development, and the design of Electrified Power Solutions. Self-directed and capable of handling and prioritising multiple projects, with an ability to successfully lead parallel work streams to firm timing and quality targets. Strong commitment to product safety and quality, with excellent communication / influencing skills at all levels. Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles: Experience in implementing Battery or Fuel Cell technologies An ability to, review regulations and product standards, and provide guidance to engineers and other business functions. Proven ability to build strategic working relationships, understand business constraints, and resolve conflict through compromise and consensus building. Experience of developing technical reports that demonstrate product capability for use in compliance certifications and homologation. NB.
